We're excited to invite you to a morning of science, community, and conservation on Saturday, November 9th, at the Henter Center inside the Kendall-Frost Marsh in Mission Bay.
Event 1: New Volunteer Training
Time: 8:30 AM - 10:15 AM
Become part of our dedicated Watershed Watch team! Learn about our water quality sampling program and get certified to participate in monthly monitoring activities. Online training materials in English and Spanish will be provided before the event.
Event 2: Water Quality Program Year in Review
Time: 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Join our Community Science Director and Volunteer & Outreach Manager for:
• A presentation on this year's Mission Bay water quality monitoring results
• An interactive feedback session on program improvements
• Discussion of data analysis preferences for the yearly report
• Networking with fellow volunteers
• Opportunity drawings featuring Coastkeeper items and giveaways
What to Know:
• Coffee, tea, pastries, and light refreshments will be served
• Please bring your reusable water bottle or tumbler
• Restroom facilities available on-site
• Street parking is available; secure bicycle parking inside the event area
• Presentation will be in English with Q&A available in both English and Spanish
