We are seeking volunteer support for our annual fundraiser taking place on Thursday, September 11, from 6-9 PM, and will need volunteers from 5:30-9:30 PM. It will be held at the Birch Aquarium by Scripps in La Jolla.
There will be three main roles we need support with: (2 volunteers) Registration, (2 volunteers) Interactive Information Booths, one floater (between both registration and information booths), and one volunteer photographer. Please indicate if you have a preference with either of the roles. If you are interested in being a volunteer photographer, please sign up using the other designated form. This one will be for the other two roles.
If you sign up, you will have until August 30th to unregister if you can't make it anymore; otherwise, I will be following up with an email two weeks before the event to schedule a training for what to expect the day of. As a volunteer, you will be able to enjoy the perks that come with attending the event just as any other guest, including food and drinks. I will be splitting volunteers into shifts so you can take breaks throughout the event.
We will close off the registration table for the last 1 1/2 hours of the event, and then all 5 volunteers (photographer exempt) will rotate between the information booths. Volunteers will be expected to stay for the duration of the event and to help with breakdown, unless there is an emergency or personal matter preventing them from staying for the whole event.
