Please join us in celebrating Creek to Bay Cleanup Day and Earth Day at Otay Valley Regional Park. In celebration of Creek to Bay Cleanup Day and Earth Day, we will be conducting a walking cleanup along the river and planting. This event is in collaboration with and made possible by Clean California.
We need 1-2 volunteers to support our Community Science Coordinator with setting up and making sure all volunteers at this event have completed the waiver and have all the supplies they need. You are also welcome to participate in the cleanup portion.
You will be connected with our staff once you sign up to volunteer for this event.
Meeting Location: There is an entrance to Otay Valley Regional Park on the 2600 block of Palm Ave, across from Desty St.
The entrance is a shared road with Terra Bella Nursery. Follow the road straight down the hill, all the way to the end, where you will see signs to park in a dirt field. See the image attached for your reference.
Cleanup Information: Meet at the dirt lot and look for the blue Coastkeeper canopy. We will walk you through some safety information and make sure you are adequately equipped to help. Please wear comfortable clothes, leather closed-toed shoes, and sunscreen.
Please bring leather gloves if you have them – we will be planting cholla cactus. All volunteers (individuals as well as groups) are welcome to participate. All minors will require a parent or guardian to be present.
Weather Cancellation Policy: If it is lightly raining, we will hold the cleanup. If there is heavy rain, we will cancel the cleanup.
